A reviewer on AVClub expressed a hope that maaaybe Wally could be bi on LoT. Some commenter declared that they personally don't need him to be bi, they just want him to hook up with Linda already. Ugh. As if he can't be bi and with Linda...

Reminds me of "Selina shouldn't be bi, because she's only allowed to love and want Batman!" tantrum some batcat shippers threw when Catwoman got a girlfriend. This comment wasn't very tantrum-y, granted, but still irritating.

In what box did I or a reviewer try to force a character or a real person? Hoping that a character might not be straight is hardly "forcing them in a box".
