unsatisfactory_personYay, the armoured dude is exactly who half of internet wanted him to be, and not any of my worst case scenarios. All hail Alexander Hamilton's rules of punctuation.
The real villain is, as always, Obligatory Unnecessary Het Romance, because a conventionally attractive woman can't exist in this world without being randomly paired off with a man. Tina McGee only barely escaped being assigned a different-sex love interest because Zoom wasn't a big fan of '90s Flash series, I guess, and then she had to disappear from the show forever. (Maybe when Jay gets out of Speed Force, TPTB will bring Tina back and throw her at him as a consolation prize.) And, fine, I also would rather see the man in question with another man, but both guys I ship him with are also paired off already, and "everyone should be monogamous" is another stupid rule of this universe. Too bad for the fan of threesomes. So maybe he'll be better off with someone who doesn't still see him as a cheap knock-off of Real Wells TM (never mind that one of those Real Wellses was a fake Wells in the first place) and whose father (probably) won't try to shoot him for "cradle-robbing". And, who knows, maybe Tracy likes threesomes too? And maybe I can pretend that since I have more in common with HR than with more fandom-beloved characters (most of whom are also beloved by me! Imagine that!), it means I'm kind of dating her by proxy, so everyone wins.
("But why do you even watch it if you hate it so mu..." - I don't hate it, that's the problem. I don't. My tragically unrequited crush on it still isn't over. I hate parts of it. I hated some parts of That Cooking Show, too. I'm not trufflemores, I don't love things unconditionally (and even she doesn't, she admitted to ignore and handwave what she can get away with ignoring and handwaving). It's still my fandom, it pushes some of my very specific buttons, and I haven't yet met another show that might replace it. It's just too straight for me, it has issues with women, and issues with a lot of stuff, really... yet I don't hate it. But I'm allowed to occasionally complain.)
