I accidentally did a research (tried to find something else, though related), and looks like some of those soap novelisations and continuations I came across last year are, in fact, unautorised creations of Russian ghostwriters, and not some real books those shows were allegedly based on. So now I'm almost interested in reading those. But still kinda scared.

But I'm reading a lot of telenovela novelisations lately, and some of them, as it turned out, also have book continuations written by unknown authors. Some people get payed for their fanfics... sigh.
