Apparently, thinking that people might avoid creating/furthering unneeded conflicts by talking to each other is "ideology" now...

(Like, sure, it's not the perfect absolutely-always-working anti-drama solution, people might talk and don't come to  any understanding/compromise, and might even make things worse in process. Perfect absolutely-always-working anti-drama solutions don't exist. But "ideology" is a weird (to put it mildly) word to use. What's next, "propaganda"?)
